Campervan Hire in New Zealand with a baby

So you’ve decided to do a family trip in New Zealand with your little bundle of joy. It might sound like a handful. But it isn’t actually as worrying as it might seem.

  • Child seat

  • Easy to prepare things for the baby.

Child seat

Car seats are compulsory for the safety of your child. You will need to contact the campervan or motorhome rental company to find out if they provide baby or child seats, and where it will be located within the vehicle.

You need to be aware of how they can be anchored properly in the vehicle. Also check that the placement of the child seat isn’t too far out of reach.

Restrictions while driving

If your baby needs to sleep, it is convenient to have the bedding area where they can rest. However, you won’t be able to have them sleep on the bedding whilst the vehicle is moving.

The baby will need to be within their car seat.

Easy to prepare things for the baby.

No need to unpack loads of baby stuff, can keep milk and foods in fridge. You can also pull over at any time to attend to baby’s needs.

If you would like to get some inspiration, check out this post from Kristy of Loulou Zoo.
