Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is one of the most amazing places that you can venture to in Australia. There are so many different things to see and there is a large contrast in the environment when you compare the coastline to the hinterland. It is a wonderful place to explore and the region caters to campers very well.
You can whizz through or you can go at a much slower pace and really experience the wonderful things that the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
You can opt to travel from Brisbane or you can make your way to the Sunshine Coast and hire a campervan from one of the local providers.
Either way, you’ll be able to have a fun time exploring the Sunshine Coast.
Beaches
The Sunshine Coast is known for its beaches and there are several options that you can consider visiting. The most popular beach to visit is Mooloolaba.
Mooloolaba
Mooloolaba offers free parking for up to 4h and has a surf beach that is patrolled by the surf lifesavers. There is also a place to play beach volleyball as well.
Alexandra Headlands
If you go further north, you can visit Alexandra Headlands, which is a bit quieter. There is a skate park in the area that you can visit.
Noosa Heads
You can head further north to one of the most iconic beaches in Queensland. The beach is popular with tourists and can get busy. However, it is surrounded by walking trails and rock pools, so it will make for an interesting experience.


Sunshine Coast Hinterland
There’s alot to see and do if you decide to visit the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. There are several spots including:
- Maleny
- Montville
- Beerburrum
If you are into hiking and even rock climbing, you will find several trails for walking.
You can even take the trip up along the roads to have some scenic views. Get some food for a picnic and enjoy the views while you are there.
